When it comes to the rating of diamonds, what matters is the clarity, the cut, the color and the carat weight. Clarity as the name suggests, means lack of any imperfections that may be in the form of spots and lines. The clearer it is, the more it fetches.

The diamond cut is what determine the facet count. Diamond does not appear in the brilliance it’s mostly observed in, and that defined cut actually has to be forged.

The color is as important and there are no twists here. If it has no color, as in its clear, then it will be worth more, than those with color.

Carat in plain English is the weight of diamonds and one equates 200mg. The higher the carat count, the higher the value.
